Love Hurts

I really adore Charlie Immer's work; the colours are whimsical and childish like a picture book yet, the topics are adult and sometimes sinister.

This piece here is a favorite of mine because I think there sense of deadly seduction as the blue bird's heart is devoured by the pink, which could be seen as an honest look at nature where many males are killed during the mating process, for example the Praying Mantis.
